Prophet Muhammad's Duty - Convey the Message; not Convert
Jihad Turk, September 30, 2007

24:54 Say: "Obey God, and obey the Messenger, but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to preach the clear (Message).

36:17 "And our duty is only to proclaim the clear Message."

29:18 "And if ye reject (the Message), so did generations before you: and the duty of the apostle is only to preach publicly (and clearly)."

88:22 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs.

5:99 The Messenger's duty is but to proclaim (the message). But God knoweth all that ye reveal and ye conceal.

16:35 The worshippers of false gods say: "If God had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him -neither we nor our fathers.- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of apostles but to preach the Clear Message?

42:48 If then they run away. We have not sent thee as a guard over them. Thy duty is but to convey (the Message). And truly, when We give man a taste of a Mercy from Ourselves, he doth exult thereat, but when some ill happens to him, on account of the deeds which his hands have sent forth, truly then is man ungrateful!

5:48 To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what God hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If God had so willed. He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to God, it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute;

16:93 If God so willed. He could make you all one people: But He leaves straying whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases: but ye shall certainly be called to account for all your actions.

2:148 To each is a goal to which God turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good. Wheresoever ye are, God will bring you Together. For God Hath power over all things.

3:64 Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves. Lords and patrons other than God." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are those who bow to God's will (Muslims)."
